Launched in 2012, the G-Cloud Framework is a multi-supplier vehicle for the purchase of cloud-based IT Services by Central Government and the wider public sector. Developed to streamline the procurement of external digital services, it’s the only portal through which UK public sector bodies can access commercially available software and services.
Our G-Cloud 12 digital marketplace PPM software and services
Like its predecessor, G-Cloud 11, the G-Cloud 12 (G12) framework has three ‘lots’ for digital service listings. Bubble again applied to provide Cloud Software (Lot 2) and Cloud Support services (Lot 3), and successfully achieved both. A third lot, Cloud Hosting (Lot 1), exists for technology infrastructure providers.
The G-Cloud 12 framework is the UK Government’s flagship Digital Marketplace marks Bubble’s 5th consecutive, and successful, application to the UK Government’s flagship Digital Marketplace.
While the impact of Covid-19 in Public Sector spending won’t be known for another year, the arrival of G-Cloud 12 framework sees further positive trends public sector procurement of Cloud Software through G-Cloud with a reported £1.3bn of tranasctions during the 2019-20 financial year.
As an organization that never takes its place on the framework for granted we’re pleased that Crown Commercial Services have again selected Bubble to be a part of the G-Cloud framework.
Formally announcing the award, Peter Hoyland drew attention to: “the 2020-21 framework being the first to include the new Bubble PPM platform”.
